Info: To quote a customer on an asset deal, you will need to have an existing Relationship with an Opportunity.
To configure an Asset, click ‘Add Quote’ on an existing opportunity, then click ‘Add Asset’:
Fill out the Asset fields - anything in red is mandatory and is required before saving. When these have been completed click 'Save and Quote'

Class: Configured by a system admin, this is a dropdown of all the different asset classes your company deals with (for example, 'industrial equipment')
Category: Also set up in the admin pages, this dropdown is a level below 'class' in the asset hierarchy (for example, 'cranes')
Type: The lowest level in the asset hierarchy, this menu is for describing the specific type of asset you're quoting on (for example, 'cranes smaller than 100ft')
New Used: Whether or not the asset is brand new
Description: A free-type field for users to write any extra details about the equipment
Manufacturer: Added to the system by your admin users, this dropdown lets you select the manufacturer of the asset.
Range: The range the asset belongs to
Model: The specific model of the asset - this is a free-type field
Variant: Is the asset a specific variant of the model?
Mileage/Hours: If the asset is used, how many miles has it covered and/or how many hours has it been in use?
Serial Numbers: Multiple options for any serial numbers assigned to the asset
Build Date: A date selector field where you can specify how old the asset is
Net Cost: The cost of the asset, without any options or services taken into account
Options Cost: The total cost of any optional extras added to the asset
Services Cost: The total cost of any servicing or maintenance purchased for the asset
Total Cost: A read-only field which adds the net cost to the services and options.
This screen will now be displayed to confirm the finance details
Once you're happy with your asset, click 'Save' and you'll be able to create a quote ready to send to your customers by clicking 'Add Quote'
