Note: Accelerate can store the details of your introducer and supplier business partners. To work on this data, you need the appropriate permissions - if you don't see the Introducers and/or Suppliers entries in the menu you do not have the necessary permission.
Ask your administrator if you do not have the necessary permissions.
Adding an Introducer
Click on 'Introducers' in the menu bar and you'll be taken to a list of all introducers used by your company. If the one you're thinking of can't be found by searching, hit 'Add Introducer':
Now, you'll be taken to the following screen:
Telephone numbers entered here should be for switchboards.
External Reference and External Reference 2 can be used to store mapping IDs for this introducer from any other systems.
Introducer Type can optionally be used to categorise your Introducers. If the Introducer Type needed isn't available in the available dropdown, somebody with administrator rights at your company can modify values available in the organisation's settings.
Once you're happy with your introducer information, hit 'Save' and they'll be added to Accelerate. You can now select this introducer when building quotes and proposals.
Adding a Supplier
The Supplier list works in much the same way as the introducers - Click on 'Suppliers' in the menu bar:
Hitting 'Add Supplier' when in the suppliers screen will take you here:
Now, setting up the default manufacturer, asset class, asset category and asset type for a certain supplier will speed up the process of adding individual assets to the system for quotes and proposals at a future date.
When you come to quote on something from a certain supplier, you will be able to change the manufacturer and asset details, but these values will pull through as an automatic template if one of your suppliers almost always deals with a certain manufacturer.
In our example, let's say Gem's Construction almost always supplies our company with the same sort of equipment - specifically, industrial equipment from the manufacturer Dave's Cranes. If they always supply us with the same specific category of industrial equipment (cranes) and even the same type (41 - 100ft) we could fill out all four fields, but we only need to fill out as much detail as will be useful. See below:
You're ready to start running some proposals!
Deleting a Supplier or Introducer
It isn't possible to delete suppliers or introducers, but if you don't want to see one of these record types as an option for new business, simply uncheck the Active checkbox and save.
They will still be linked to any old proposals, but won't be able to be used for new ones.
