Info: If you want to set a frequency for when an update is due to be sent to a customer, this can be configured on the order page.
Under the Order Details you will find fields for Customer Updates and Last Cust Update, within these fields you can specify how often you would like a customer to be updated, and when the last update was sent.
First time Set-up
To set this up for the first time go into your relevant order.
Set the Last Cust Update field to the last time any communication was sent to the customer.
Specify how often you expect and update to be sent to the customer
If the last communication or update sent to the customer was outside of your specified timeframes, you will see this warning appear each time you open the order. Once an update has been sent out & the record updated this will clear.
Record Updates
To update the record to show that a communication has been made to the customer, this can be done
By manually updating the Last Cust Update field, or
When emailing from the order page you will find a tickbox in the top right of the email pop-up (see image below). This will auto-update the record to display the most recent Last Cust Update.
Setting Customer Updates from Actions
If you would like the Customer Updates field to be updated when sending automatic actions, this is now possible when using these Action Types:
Email Opportunity Contact(s)
Email Primary Contact
SMS Primary Contact
When you set up the Actions using the Workflow Settings, there is a ‘Customer Update’ flag. When this is enabled, each time that Action is triggered, the Customer Updates fields on the order record will be updated accordingly:
