Accelerate Reports Engine bases reports on a single dataset. You can create visuals to represent your data in a different format. These reports update as the data changes. You can dig into the data to discover insights and look for answers.

As you interact and explore your content: Filtering, Saving, Visualising, Downloading, Historic Reporting. You can’t break these reports, your interaction won’t affect Accelerate’s data and you can save your changes to review at a later date.

Note: Remember you can't hurt your data. The Accelerate reports is a great place to explore and experiment without worrying you’ll break something.

Accessing your reports

To begin reporting, click on ‘Reports Engine' found in the sidebar of Accelerate and a new tab/window will open, displaying the reporting dashboard. Here you can access QV help guides and start building your reports.

Info: To access reports you either need to be an administrator, or, have been granted reporting access. More information on this can be found here: Editing User Privileges

You will find each of your available report objects on the sidebar. Click the drop down to see the reports within the objects.

Reporting Tools

Once you've opened your report, you can get started on manipulating the data:

Selecting Columns

In order to show/hide your preferred columns:

Click on 'Actions'.

Choose 'Select Columns' from the drop down menu.

Select the columns you do not want to see from the 'Display in Report' column

Click the single arrow to move selected column(s) to 'Do not display' column. To move all columns use the multiple arrow.

Info: Due to the default report containing so many columns, it might be easier to hide the columns you don't need for your desired report.

Click 'Apply' and your report will display your chosen columns:

Filtering

Filtering is a great way to manipulate your reports so you are looking at the data you want and need. There are two great ways to filter within Accelerate reporting.

Filtering by single columns

The first way to filter is to single left click on the column you wish to filter.

Filtering by columns

You may want to do advanced filtering. You can do this by heading over to the actions menu and selecting ‘Filter’.

Once you've selected the 'Filter', this menu will be displayed. Choose whether you want to filter by column or row. Select the column using the column dropdown, this is the same for the operator dropdown.

Note: If filtering between two dates that include a time, this will filter from 00:01 on the start date until 00:00 on the end date.

Accelerate reports include advanced filtering options - for when you need to filter data based on rows. Row level filtering has the capability to use functions (much like excel) to manipulate data to your requirements. For detailed instructions on Advanced Filtering, refer to our guide available Here.

Saving a Report

Once you’ve finished filtering your report, you’ll probably want to save this for next time.

To do this, head over to the report 'Actions' and select the 'Save Report' button.

You will be prompted to add a report title and description, then click on ‘Apply’ to save.

After clicking on 'Apply' to save your changes, you can easily find the saved reports within the 'Private' section of the report dropdown.
