Underwriting Settings

A guide for system administrators to edit underwriting settings including referral, accept, and decline reasons, and sub proposal statuses.

Note: To edit underwriting settings, you need to make sure that you are a system administrator.

To access the underwriting settings, head to the settings page and click 'Underwriting Settings':

You'll then find yourself on a screen similar to this:

There are 5 sections which we'll run through below.

Referral Reasons

A referral reason is as the name suggests, it's the reason that this proposal is being referred to someone else. To add a referral reason, simply click 'Add Referral Reason'.

This will take you through to the page where you add the description if the referral reason. whatever is entered here will pull through as an option on the tickboxes when referring the proposal:

Accept Reasons

Similar to Referral reasons, the accept reasons section allows you to add different acceptance reason for that proposal. To add an accepta reason, just hit the 'Add Accept Reason' button:

This will take you through to the page that allows you to add an accept reason into the description field. Whatever is entered here will through into the tickboxes when approving a proposal:

Decline Reasons

Similar to Referral reasons, the Decline reasons section allows you to add different acceptance reason for that proposal. To add a decline reason, just hit the 'Add Decline Reason' button:

This will take you through to the page that allows you to add a decline reason into the description field. Whatever is entered here will through into the tickboxes when declining a proposal:

Accept Conditions Sub Proposal Statuses

A sub proposal status is used to mark the progress of a sub proposal. To add a new sub proposal, head to the sub proposal section and click 'Add Sub Proposal Status':

You'll then be on a screen like below. The ordinal is far down the list the status will go (lower the number the higher up in the list it goes. The description is how the status is displayed within the list:

After this is saved, you can select the status from the dropdown when editing a proposal.
