If you have a lot of relationships that you want to delete, then you may benefit from using the Dataloader functionality to upload a file of the deletes you wish to perform and allowing the Dataloader to do this for you.
We recommend that the first time you use this functionality, you use a small file with a couple of relationships so you can test out the functionality and make sure you are happy with it. Once you are happy, then you can upload a larger file containing all the relationships you wish to delete.
Info: If you have not used the Dataloader before, you will need to contact the Support Team and ask for permission to use the Relationship Delete Dataloader.
You will need to prepare a CSV file of the relationship id's that you wish to delete. The id's should be listed in the first column without any headers e.g.
123456
124567
982304
34562
This CSV file would delete relationship ids 123456, 124567, 982304 and 34562. It would perform each of these deletes in turn, so 123456 would be deleted first and then 124567.
The file should only contain ids. The same rules apply as if you were performing the relationship delete within the Accelerate application and we recommend reading the article Deleting Unwanted Records as you will still need to perform steps 2 and 5.
Once you have prepared your CSV file, go to https://dataloader.quotevineapp.com and login with your Accelerate credentials.
Select 'Relationship Delete' as the Data Type, click 'Next'.
Choose who to notify after the upload.
Select the file you wish to upload and click 'Upload'.
A preview of the data uploaded from the file will be presented.
Clicking “Confirm” will perform all the deletes.
Once a relationship delete file has been processed, it is very difficult to undo. Therefore, please double check that your file is correct. There is validation in place to check that the relationship exists etc. however if you mistype then it might still find a relationship and delete the wrong one.
We recommend using the relationship report to generate the list of relationships with their associated ID.
