Using the default cashflows section can be extremely helpful if you find yourself continuously creating the same cashflows with every quote - for example: doc fees.
Please note: To add a default cashflow you have to be an administrator.
To start adding default cashflows, head to the Settings tab and find the 'Default Cashflows' section: Here click 'Add Default Cashflow'.
The 'Cashflow Type' dropdown is where you can select which category the cashflow falls into. This determines where the cashflows will appear on documents etc. Please Note: You cannot have more than one of the same 'Cashflow Type' on the same quote.
The 'Net Amount' section is where you input the cashflow amount.
'Maintenance Uplift' is the amount that will be added to the cashflow IF the customer chooses to take maintenance with their vehicle.
There are three different VAT rates in Quotevine - Standard, Zero Rated and Reduced.
Choosing the 'Product Type' defines when the default cashflow will be applied. So if you choose Contract Hire - This cashflow will only automatically be created for deals that you sold on Contract Hire. (You can choose multiple product types). If you want the default cashflow to appear for every funder, then don't select any.
Choosing the 'Lenders' works in the same way. The default cashflow will only be created if the deal is funded through your selected funder(s).
Note: Both the Product Type and Lender conditions must be true for the Default Cashflow to appear.
If you don't want the account managers to be able to see the cashflow, select the 'Admin View Only' box. This means that only you and fellow admins will be able to see these commissions on the deals.
Alternatively if you want the cashflow to only be visible to the owner, selecting the 'Owner View Only' box will stop anyone else from seeing the cashflow. Including the admins.
So, let's imagine I want to create a default cashflow specifically for our funder. At the moment, they have a special offer where the salesman will get an extra £50 if they sell the car on PCP. To save us entering this cashflow manually every time, we create a default cashflow with the following settings:
Once we have chosen all the necessary fields, press the 'Save' button.
Now, when I create a quote with Quotevine Leasing as the funder and PCP as the product type, the cashflows section will automatically contain the extra commission:
If you don't want the default cashflow to appear on your documents, select the edit pencil and change the amount to £0.00. (You cannot simply delete it, it will always be added again as a default)
If a promotion ends or you no longer wish to use a selected default cashflow you can remove it within the settings section. Select the corresponding cashflow and click the 'delete button' found at the top right of the section.
