What are Relationships
A relationship is a central location that stores all data about specific customers including: contact and account information, sales opportunities, service cases, and marketing campaigns.
With data in one central location, you have a complete picture of customers and prospects that can be shared and analysed by teams across your company in real time.
Legal Form Type
Within Accelerate, a Relationship is defined by its Legal Form Type, this is essentially the type of customer they are. Below is a list of the available Legal Form Types within Accelerate:
Legal Form Type | Description |
LLP | A business which combines the organisational flexibility and tax status of a partnership while providing limited liability for its members |
Limited Company | A company that exists and operates independently to the owners of the business, and it can enter into contracts under its own name |
PLC | A company which has shares that can be purchased by the public and which has allotted share capital with a nominal value of at least £50,000 |
Micro Enterprise | Limited companies with fewer than 10 employees and a turnover of less than £2m per year |
Partnership 4+ | A partnership where there are more than 4 partners |
Partnership <4 | A partnership with fewer than 4 partners |
Private Individual | An individual who’s business with your organisation isn’t associated with a business |
Registered Charity | An organisation established and operated for charitable purposes, and must devote its resources to charitable activities |
Sole Trader | A business that is operated by an individual who is self-employed |
Note: When selecting the Legal Form Type, Accelerate will dynamically change the fields available for each type
When creating Relationship records within Accelerate, the information stored under each Legal Form Type will differ, for example, any business Relationships will not hold a contact number or email address on the Relationship but instead you can create a Contact on the Relationship, whereas a Private Individual will store the contact number and email address on the Relationship.
When creating a business Relationship within Accelerate, there is a direct integration with Companies House available, which allows users to search for a company by Name or Registered number. This will then populate address and some director information on the Relationship record.
